Established in 1999, the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit protects wildlife within a four-kilometre radius of Victoria Falls through active patrols, snare removal, and community education. Working closely with Zimbabwe Parks Authority and local police, VFAPU has dramatically reduced poaching in the Victoria Falls National Park and Zambezi National Park areas.
